Private Boat trip
WILD BAYS OF FARALYA

Bays beyond Faralya village are the wildest part of the Fethiye coastline. To be able to go on a tour you have to get to Faralya yourself. It’s situated 1 hour away from Fethiye and 30 minutes away from Ölüdeniz via a mountain road.

Because of the sea conditions here, large daily tour boats never come to these bays — which helps keep the coastline peaceful and uncrowded.

This is a simple private speedboat experience focused on nature, swimming, quiet places, and exploring the coastline slowly.

THE ROUTE
There is just one route, but it’s a great one.
  • STARTING POINT

The trip starts from the little village pier in Faralya or from Kabak Beach depending on the sea conditions. You can get here by car or by bus via a mountain road.
  • The First Stop

You will slowly go along the mountainous coast (hopefully see a sea turtle) and arrive at the ancient harbour of Kalabantia. There you will have a swim by the ancient church, enjoy the turquoise water. On the way back the captain will show you the ruins a bit closer. If you are a history lover, let the captain know, you can have some free time on the beach and explore the ruins.
  • The Second Stop

After a little dive into history you will visit the Paradise Beach where the captain can leave you for an hour (it’s a good idea to bring some lunch with you and have it here). It’s a big wild sandy-pebbly beach with picturesque rocks and a pine forest. Take your time to sunbathe, swim and make pictures.
  • The Third Stop

This time the captain will take you to a small bay nearby called the Cold Water. It’s known for fresh springs and very special emerald colour of water. There are small sea caves and a cozy little beach to explore.
  • The “Nice People” Stop

Don’t take the name too seriously:) But some people say… if you have extra time left and you’ve been nice to the captain he might show you some other bays on the way back.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
Please read these to understand the tour better.
  • THE PRICE
The tour costs 150€ for 2 people (total, cash only). Any extra person is 25€ each. You can bring drinks and food with you.
  • PRIVATE EXPERIENCE
This is a private trip — there will be no other guests on the boat besides you and the captain.
  • ABOUT THE TRIP DURATION
The trip lasts 3 hours, including swimming stops and a drop off time to properly enjoy the bays and beaches along the route. You won’t be staying on the boat all this time.

If you prefer not to stop and would rather move quickly between locations just to see them or take photos, the trip may finish earlier.

However, the price of the trip remains the same, as the boat and captain are reserved privately for your time slot.

  • WHEN DOES THE TRIP START?
    There are two departure options:

    Morning trip: 10:00 / 11:00
    (depending on the season)

Guests staying in Fethiye should choose the morning trip, as traffic through Ölüdeniz later in the day can become extremely heavy during the season.

    Afternoon trip: 13:00 / 14:00
    (depending on the season)

If you are staying in Ölüdeniz down by the beach or in Faralya, both morning and afternoon trips work well with no significant traffic issues.
  • WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU
    Water & snacks
There is nowhere to buy anything at sea (but there is a market in the village), so please bring at least 1 litre of water per person. The sea and sun usually make people hungry, so bringing some snacks is also a good idea.

    Towels
You will need them both on the boat and during beach drop-offs.

    Shoes that can get wet
Please bring light shoes or flip-flops suitable for hot sand and getting on and off the boat easily.

    Important
Please arrive already wearing your swimwear or beach clothes. There is no changing room on the speedboat.
  • WHAT ELSE CAN THE CAPTAIN HELP YOU WITH
The captain can also help organise a taxi if you are staying in Ölüdeniz or Faralya.

There is also an option to combine the boat trip with a stay in Kabak Valley. A beautiful traditional stone house is available for the price of a simple bungalow — a great option if you would like to spend a few quiet days in a more rural part of the coast.
HOW TO BOOK
Before booking, please note:

This trip is not suitable for non-swimmers, small children, elderly guests, or people with injuries or limited mobility. You will enjoy the experience most if you are comfortable at sea and reasonably physically active to be able to get on and off the boat from the sea using the ladder.

Clicking “Book a trip” will open a WhatsApp conversation with Captain Nuri — one of the most trusted local captains in the area. A short booking form will appear automatically for you to fill in before discussing availability and trip details with him.
WHAT ELSE TO DO IN FARALYA
Here are some other locations to visit while you are here.
Butterfly Valley View Point
On the way here, you will pass one of the most legendary locations in the area — the Butterfly Valley viewpoint. It’s a wild, unorganised viewpoint, but the view is absolutely worth the mess. Simply park your car on the side of the road and walk a little closer towards the edge. The view is incredible.
